Neurofeedback is a non-invasive therapy that uses electroencephalography (EEG) technology, reading the brainwaves from your head to reveal the dynamic patterns that are going on within your brain and allowing much insight into how your mind functions. By collecting thousands of pieces of data from sensors placed on your head, the frequency and amplitude of brain waves from each area and how the various areas of your brain interact with each other can be analyzed and compared to normative databases revealing areas of concern. This information partnered with symptomology provided in assessment helps to identify potential areas that may be improved through brain training (operant conditioning) exercises that can help your brain become more efficient, flexible, and resilient. Many conditions such as anxiety, sleep disorders, traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, memory loss, depression, mood dysregulation, obsessive compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorders and more have been found to be highly treatable by Neurofeedback. In addition to treating common symptoms, brain training is also often used to help healthy minds to reach peak performance by improving focus, alertness, memory and mental acuity.
